Deadline is here. You can now mark any Target Date as a deadline, making it clear which dates are firm commitments versus general targets.
This applies to all board members.
As part of this update, Start Date and Target Date are now separate fields (previously combined into one). This gives cleaner, more accurate date tracking on every card.
No more digging through cards to figure out which dates actually matter.
Go to any card's Dates section, set a Target Date, and check Make it a deadline.

You can now watch individual tasks on a card, not just whole cards.
This applies to all board members.
Click the watcher icon on any task to add yourself or a teammate. Two new My Zone widgets, Tasks I Watch and Tasks I Watch Completed, show you the status of everything you're tracking. My Zone widgets are now also drag and drop and resizable (1x, 2x, 3x), so you can lay out your dashboard the way you work.
Delegate work and stay informed without asking for status updates.
Go to a card's Tasks section to start watching, or open My Zone to add the new widgets.

You can now add notes directly to individual tasks inside a checklist, keeping context exactly where the work lives.
Open a card, go to the Tasks section, and click the sticky note icon on any task. Type your note, then click Add. Notes support rich text formatting and emoji reactions. All previous notes appear below the input, with options to edit or delete. Task notes are also visible in the Notifications panel under the Conversations tab, so you never miss task-level updates.
Card comments are for broader discussion. Task notes are for the specific detail that helps someone complete that one task, without the noise.
To get started, open any card and click the sticky note icon on any task. Learn more in the help doc.

You can now generate a printer-friendly view of any card in Kanban Zone.
Create a clean, structured record of your work that can be saved as a PDF or printed for sharing, archiving, or offline use.
Choose exactly what to include:
Only sections with data are shown, keeping your output clear and focused.
Open any card and click the Print icon at the top to create your print-friendly version.

We’ve added two new configuration options under Board Settings to help Admins achieve greater consistency and control over how cards are created and where they appear.
You can now require that all new cards be created from a card template.
When this restriction is enabled, users must select a template when adding a card. This ensures standardized formatting, structure, and content from the start.
You can also specify a default container for new cards created through:
This is perfect for streamlining intake processes or triaging incoming work.
These two updates give Admins more control over how and where cards enter a board, and are available under: Board Settings > Board Restrictions & Defaults

You can now set personalized reminders when assigning due dates to cards or tasks. These reminders are sent via email to the card owner and watchers, helping your team stay aligned and proactive.

You can now set a Service Level Expectation (SLE) on any column of your Kanban boards to define how long cards should ideally stay in that column. When a card exceeds the SLE, it turns the "Time in Column" red to alert you.
To help you set the right expectation, we display the average time cards in each column over the past 4 weeks. Use this data to set realistic SLEs and improve your workflow predictability.
Why it matters:
This new feature helps you quickly spot bottlenecks, improve flow efficiency, and maintain control over your process without estimates.

Need to keep important cards handy without cluttering your screen? Now you can!
You can now minimize up to 10 cards into a tray at the bottom of every zone. Just click the new minimize icon in the top-right corner of any card, and it will stay easily accessible, ready to reopen from any board or zone.
📌 Pin or Unpin the Tray
Do you prefer a cleaner view? You can pin or unpin the minimized card tray so it only appears when needed.
Since we started using this feature, it’s quickly become one of our favorites—we think you’ll love it too.

You can now connect your favorite tools—like Jira, Miro, Clio, Google Forms, ServiceNow, Slack, and OpenAI — without writing a single line of code.
With just a few clicks, you can automate workflows like:
You’ll find it all under the new Integrations tab in the sidebar. It’s designed to feel seamless, powerful, and accessible for everyone — not just developers.
To get started, we created videos you can watch here.

You can now open cards in a Sidebar View, keeping your board visible while working on a card. This allows you to view/edit a card while navigating and interacting with the rest of the board. It also lets you open cards very fast for quick access.
Switch between Full and Sidebar views:
Give it a try by clicking the new “Sidebar View” icon on any card and switching back by clicking the "Full View" icon.
